Green Hope

Yesterday was 72 degrees and today it's 51. But these plants don't care. They know that Spring is here!

The Clematis, which has no idea that I'm going to have to cut it back so we can re-install our pergola. Last year we had a wind storm and the pergola blew over. We stood it up - UPside down, that is - until we had time to anchor it properly and the clematis swarmed over it. Yes, in this household a year is a perfectly acceptable amount of time before something is fixed. Sigh.

P.J.M. Rhododendron, soooo close to opening!

And my favorite lilac, Mme. Lemoine. Soon it's going to burst into beautiful, fragrant, white flowers. I can almost smell it now!!

Oh a lilac bush! You lucky devil!

I swear Friday I had no blooms on things growing near my house, then poof! color has landed.

Lilac is my favorite because it always blooms for my birthday. Although with global warming, these days its almost over by the time my birthday rolls around!
And yes, a year is a perfectly acceptable amount of time to get something done. Don't let alyone tell you different.

Its 72 degrees here right now. Your garden is going to be beautiful as always. Hope I'll be home and settled in my new place to start one up.

White lilacs? No way. Never heard of such a thing! You must send me pics!

And a year is a perfectly fine amount of time to procrastinate. My hubby will go even further (two years plus) considering our living room walls are still three colors with the edging adding a fourth. :)
